Apple Picking

It’s time to take out those flannels, rent a zipcar and head to a local apple picking farm. As the weather starts to cool off, it’s the perfect time to make your way to one of these locations and spend the day picking apples, drinking warm cider and eating cinnamon sprinkled donuts. And of course, snap the perfect Instagram shot.

Belkin Family Lookout Farm
Located 16.9 miles from the city, this farm is the closest to the city. The options are endless with fruits ranging from pears to pumpkins. Families can enjoy a hay pyramid, farm themed play area, moon bounce, and face painting. Admission is $12 during the week and $16 during the weekend.

Brooksby Farm
This farm specializes in holiday treats with fudge, pies, and gift baskets lining its store. Located 17.9 miles from the city and costs $10 for ½ peck bag, $18 for a peck bag, and $32 for ½ bushel bag.

Dowse Orchards
For those who want a safe wholesome bet, this is the choice for you. Located 21.3 miles from the city, this farm has over 200 years of farm production and 60 years with a roadside stand. Head over for a day filled with red and golden apples and find the perfect one for that apple pie!

Connors Farm
Looking for a farm with a ton of activities? This is your winner. Known for its corn maze, hayrides, bouncy house, pumpkin tetherball and more, you are sure to find something that you love. Located 22.4 miles from the city, this one is a little far, but definitely worth the drive.
